Teaching jour fixes and meetings
Two or three times per semester, the teachers of the Department of Sociology exchange views on their personal experiences of the daily teaching routine during a joint meeting. In the course of the teaching jour fixe, the chair of the Curriculum Committee informs colleagues about news concerning curriculum, regulations and deadlines, statistics of students as well as teaching cooperation plans and projects. Practice shows that especially new and external teachers of the department benefit from regular teaching jour fixes.
Meetings
The meeting of teachers, which takes place once a year in a place outside University, is a workshop for the teaching staff of the Department of Sociology. The goal of the meeting is joint reflection on past teaching, the discussion of new ways of teaching at universities and the joint development of solution strategies.
