Thomas Zenkl is a doctoral researcher in Sociology. He holds Master’s degrees in Global Studies and Computational Social Systems and is part of the interdisciplinary research network "HFDT - Human Factor in Digital Transformation" and board member of the "Digital Sociology" Working Group (WG10) in the International Sociological Association (ISA). His research is concerned with the societal consequences of AI and the proliferation of automated decision making, focusing on practices of resistance/refusal that arise from the ongoing colonisation of everyday life by digital systems.
