Susanne Kink

Susanne Kink worked from 2013-2016 at the Department of Sociology in the research area “Sociology of Gender & Gender Studies”. Susanne studied Sociology at the University of Graz from 2004-2010 (Master's degree 2010) and is currently completing her doctoral studies in Social and Economic Sciences at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz. She is also a member of the doctoral program "Interdisciplinary Gender Studies".
Prior to joining the Department of Sociology in 2013, she worked as a research assistant in the projects "Work-Life-Balance in Science" (2012- 2013) and "Negotiating Gender Boundaries in the Natural Sciences"  (2010-2012) at the University of Graz, as well as a student assistant at the Inter-University Research Center for Technology, Work and Culture (IFZ) in the project "FEMTEC Styria: Education at Technical Universities - Benchmarking in German-speaking Countries with a Special Focus on the Attractiveness for Female Students" (2007-2008). 
In January 2013, she was elected as a counselor in the section "Feminist Theory and Gender Studies" in the Austrian Sociological Association (ÖGS), and is involved as a member of the working group "Queer STS" (Newly published: AG Queer STS, 2013, Gender Knowledge in Brain Research - A Queer View from Science and Technology Studies. In: Freiburger Zeitschrift für Geschlechterstudien, Jg. 19, Vol. 1).
Her main research and teaching interests are: Gender Sociology of Science and Higher Education, Feminist STS, Qualitative Methods of Social Research, Sociology of Technology, Queer Theory.
